Toyota Motor Philippines unveiled an all-new Avanza MPV, with more modern styling, upgraded interior, and available ABS and dual airbags. After the Revo was discontinued in 2005, the Toyota MPV line was split into the larger Innova and B-segment Avanza, co-developed with Daihatsu.
The exterior looks decidely more modern, with a arrow-shaped headlamps, sloped D-pillar, and--would you believe it--flared fenders.
The interior has been restyled to more closely resemble Toyota’s passenger car offerings like the Vios and Corolla. Toyota says that the cabin is wider and offers more legroom. The steering wheel now tilts, a welcome improvement over the previous fixed column. The steering wheel gets remote audio controls.
